@TwistedPennys - Torture Chambers (Review + Download)

We at Knowledge Is Power have followed Twisted Penny's and his music for a fair few years now and have always regarded him one of the true hiphop souls that still walks the uk streets making knowledgeable soulful hiphop without selling out.

Hailing from Leicester he recently clashed fellow Leicester artist C Dash (Invasion Alert) on Don't Flop and proved once again why his wordplay and flows still continue to leave me in awe. I think a lot of people underestimated him in that clash until he started spitting and showed a lot of guys that he isn't just some skinny white boy that claims to spit, in fact he is an absolute microphone beast with a heavy artillery of material to leave an opponent down for the count. If you didn't see at clash first time round I highly recommend you check it out HERE

Hopefully by now you've already downloaded his latest musical release "Torture Chambers" and are listening along to it as you read this. Combining old school deep hiphop style productions with his venomous, witty content delivered in a winding, helper skelter type flow, this cd is yet another example of how alive the underground hip hop scene is in the uk today.

Twisted Pennys may look like your average guy with crazy ass hair but his mind is levels above the majority of the countries population let alone the hundreds and thousands of "gangster" rappers that our country seems to produce each year.

A personal favorite from this release is the track "Pen And The Pendulum" which actually has a visual to accompany it which you can check out below

Now this being his third solo mixtape has allowed him to fully find his stride with music by now and I've got to admit I review an awful lot of music but this is probably one of the most complete mixtapes I've had the pleasure of reviewing in a long time.

There are a lot of CDs that I review that after reviewing I probably will never listen to again just due to the sheer quantity of music that I receive, this however is the complete opposite. Since download "Torture Chambers" I've been bumping it more than any other release currently in my household or on my musical devices.

This release is the small, abnormal, awkward kid that sits in the playground dreaming of slaying elves and demons that one day turns out to be an evil genius with high calibre brain power but only bad experience to judge the world on. This is not to say that listening to this release will turn you into a monster but it might just help your inner demon break through to the surface and relieve you of the everyday stress and corruption that is put upon us by modern governments.

We highly suggest you grab this mixtape, kick back with some liquor and witness the rising if a revolutionary artist that deserves a lot more exposure than he currently gets
