This is a very interesting short film by our good friends over at FlyOTW about the first exhibition by uk beatboxing and artistic mastermind Reeps One. This short film is one that i can connect with on a personal level as Reeps tells us of the learning disorders that he was diagnosed with as a child and the limits that were enforced upon himself as well as the success he has gained due to the criteria that saw him tagged with these labels.
I myself was diagnosed with ADHD from a very young age and was told that i would never be able to control and direct the billions of thoughts my brain tried to process every minute. If i could travel back in time and show a young version of myself any motivational and inspirational film to prove that a "learning disorder" is not something that defines you, it would be this.
This piece of visual art is structured and directed to the point of perfection much like every piece of work that FlyOTW release and i find that it captures the message that Reeps is putting across perfectly.
If you or someone you know has been labelled with having a "Learning Disorder" do not let that medical term define or affect the creativity that is produced by that brain. Be yourself and be proud of it.
