Now im pretty certain that if your clued up on the uk music scene then you will already know the name Tez Kidd. Whether its from his days as a bassline artist, his clash on Lord Of The Mics, his appearance in BBC 1xtra and Charlie Sloths "Grime Up North" documentary or his huge collection of work with his Scumfam brothers.
For me personally, Tez paved the way for a lot of other artists in the North of our country to come through and gain exposure for their craft. One thing you'll learn about Tez Kidd is that he isn't your typical one trick pony that remains on one genre of music and limits himself in the creativity of his music. For this latest release he got together with long time friend and producer Seven.
"DRTY WRK 2" is a solid body of music from this well established artist proving that just because you are labelled as an urban artist you dont need to let that define you and the products that you create. This EP is a great listen from start to finish and with some big features such as Big Narstie, Kira Kay, fellow Scumfam members Ak and Kutta 1 this is a certified contender for release of the year so far.
